Making in the exhibition space is at the heart of Craft Show.

Our Workshops take place in the gallery, showcasing the skill of making alongside the objects on display.

A celebration of yarn and fiber during which you will learn to make tassels. You will learn the basic techniques of how to make a simple tassel, before moving onto different wrapping techniques to explore form, colour balance, texture and structure. You will use a wide variety of yarns in many lovely colours and learn to explore their different qualities and uses during tassel making. This workshop is a fun introduction into the world of fiber art, and will help you begin to think and create using textiles in a three dimensional way. After the exhibition has closed for the day and all of the visitors have left, you and Ruby will take over the empty gallery space. Drawing from the still-lifes in the showcase, you will explore composition, drawing in different mediums and be introduced to a variety of drawing techniques. Join us for a peaceful evening, in good company, with lots of conversation and plenty of wine! Your first glass is included with your ticket. Still Life Drawing Class with Ruby Bateman

Over this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to style your table and home this festive season. Hannah will talk you through the defining elements of a gorgeous dinner, from scent to texture, layers, colours and hosting tips. She’ll teach guests a number of floral techniques that can be used around the home, from mini wreaths to contemporary table centre arrangements. Peckham Craft Show are very excited to host Mila Harris-Mussi's Indigo Dyeing and Japanese Shibori Workshop at the Winter Craft Show. Over this 3 hour workshop you will explore the processes of dyeing with Indigo. The main focus of this workshop will be to create an indigo dyed set of shibori samples and a finalised indigo scarf design, using repurposed fabrics and a length of silk. Learn to hand stitch with Aimee Betts, co-founder of the brilliant Stitch School. In this two hour workshop you will be introduced to the A-Z of hand-embroidery stitches, and spend two hours learning the basics. You will learn how to use the essential tools of embroidery, using a special Stitch School A-Z kit containing a printed linen embroidery sampler, an embroidery hoop, threads and stitch instructions that you can then take home to complete. Make your own Christmas Wreath with Wallflower Peckham at the first ever Winter Craft Show. Get prepared for the festive season with a hand-made wreath using a variety of greenery and Wallflower’s characteristic colourful accents. Using a willow ring to build your wreath, you will build your wreath to create a full and festive wreath using a selection of different foliage including eucalyptus and pine, before adding in dried fruits, flowers and red berries. The brilliant Christabel Balfour will be teaching at the first ever Winter Craft Show. Christabel will be teaching a 3-hour class covering the fundamentals of tapestry weaving, as well as advanced techniques. Christabel will share the techniques and processes that she uses in her own work every day, and will guide you through the process of weaving your own tapestry, from start to finish.
